Students Winterized Homes in Sioux Falls (includes video clip)
October 12, 2007
A group of Sioux Falls Seminary students took time out of their Reading Week break to help low-income residents in Sioux Falls winterize their homes.
This community service day was sponsored by the seminary's student council. It was an opportunity for students to take their seminary training outside the seminary walls, get their hands dirty, and become good news to the people in Sioux Falls.
Participating students joined Associate Professor Jay Moon and his Reading Week "Mission Immersion" course. Moon and course participants have been spending the week in the downtown neighborhood which has been designated as part of Mayor Munson's downtown revitalization area.
