Seminary, Metabank to Host Day-long Seminar on Mentoring for Women
October 22, 2009
The seminar, titled Reflecting on the Mentored Life, will help women discover how to achieve and maintain a healthy balance while filling their many roles. The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the seminary's campus located at 2100 S. Summit Avenue.
Women will discover the benefits of mentoring relationships. They will connect with other like-minded women --- representing educational, medical, business, ministerial, counseling, entrepreneurial, community and civic service roles, and more. These women will share why mentoring is needed, how it's occurred for them, and what has challenged this aspect of their lives. The keynote speaker is Margaret Sumption, adjunct faculty at the University of Sioux Falls and at Colorado Technical University, as well as co-owner of Sumption & Wyland, a leadership and teams training consulting firm.
Whether employed in and/or out of the home, a student, or retired, this seminar is beneficial for women of all ages. The cost, which includes lunch, is $20.00 per person.
