News: Partnership with Shift115 Worship Collective
August 28, 2017
Sioux Falls Seminary believes theological education works best when it integrates with and utilizes learning and formational experiences from kingdom-minded partners. We work diligently to find these partners and are excited to announce our new relationship Shift115 Worship Collective in Sioux Falls, SD.
Shift115 Worship Collective is committed to building unity in the church through Christ-centered worship. Mentorship is at the heart of Shift115. They offer personalized mentorship opportunities as well as specific classes, groups, and a worship school that all include mentorship in some aspect. This mentor-based approach to developing disciples of Jesus who lead others in worship aligns very well with Sioux Falls Seminary’s approach to theological education in which a mentor team walks alongside each student as she or he progresses through their educational program.
Through Sioux Falls Seminary’s innovative philosophy of theological education, participants in Shift115’s Worship School can receive a non-degree certificate in Worship Leadership. If students choose, they can also work with their mentor team to integrate their experience into a graduate certificate, Master of Arts (Bible and Theology), Master of Arts in Christian Leadership, or Master of Divinity through the seminary’s Kairos Project. Each option provides students with an opportunity to focus their studies in worship leadership by enabling them to work with a mentor team to customize the entire educational journey. This structure allows students to pursue their degree or certificate while staying fully active in ministry, invested in their day-to-day lives, and committed to a life of missional engagement.
