NABS Receives National Awards for Marketing

The PR and Marketing Department at North American Baptist Seminary has received recognition in two different national award competitions for the design of several marketing pieces.
In the twenty-second annual Admissions Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report, North American Baptist Seminary received a Gold Award for its newly created search piece, Is God Capturing your Attention?. The seminary's 2005-2006 annual report, Equipping Servant Leaders, and the 2006-2007 Campus Visit Day brochure, Your Bubble Bursts, received Merit Awards in the competition. The Admissions Advertising Awards received over 2100 entries from institutions in all fifty states and several foreign countries. It is the oldest and largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This was the second year that North American Baptist Seminary entered the competition. North American Baptist Seminary also entered a few of its marketing pieces into the fourth annual Service Industry Advertising Awards. The seminary received a Silver Award for Total Advertising Campaign which included its newly created view book, Experience NABS, search piece, Is God Capturing your Attention, Campus Visit Day brochure, Your Bubble Bursts, and catalog postcard, Our Catalog, Your Comfort Zone. The Service Industry Advertising Awards continue to grow faster than any other major advertising awards in the country. Each entry was reviewed by a panel of judges for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal, and overall break-through advertising content. The seminary's primary admissions pieces, the view book and search piece, caught the attention of the editor of the Admissions and Marketing Report after being submitted for the Admissions Advertising Awards. As a result, North American Baptist Seminary will be featured in an upcoming issue of the magazine, which is the leading marketing publication for higher education. The feature article will talk about the idea behind the fork in the road, and the seminary's marketing efforts to its region and the North American Baptist Conference.
