Missions Festival Information
The transformation of neighborhoods and how churches can get involved in reaching out to their surrounding communities will be the focus of the 2009 Missions Festival at Sioux Falls Seminary. The Festival, to be held on Oct. 27-29, will address these important and challenging issues vital to the positive transformation of our neighborhoods.

A schedule of events for the Festival is:

Rice and Beans Banquet
Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 6-8:00 p.m.
Room 102, Sioux Falls Seminary (2100 S. Summit Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57105)
The banquet will feature an experienced practitioner in the area of church-based community development and missionaries in this field. The meal will consist of rice and beans, which is a typical meal for much of the world. The purpose is to eat in solidarity with the poor. Money which would have been spent on a meal will instead go to help the ministry of Summit House at Sioux Falls Seminary, which serves the poorest neighborhood in Sioux Falls. There is no cost to attend; a free will offering will be taken. To make reservations send the names of those attending to info@sfseminary.edu or 605.336.6588 ext. 2703.

Panel Discussion and Brown Bag Lunch
Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 11:30 a.m. --- 1:00 p.m.
Room 102, Sioux Falls Seminary (2100 S. Summit Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57105)
Several church leaders and practitioners will share and discuss the lessons they have learned from their work and service in community development. Come hear the "nitty gritty" experiences of those in our local communities; feel free to ask questions. Bring your own brown bag lunch.

Chapel Services
