Wesley, Work, and Wealth Presentation Series November 8, 2013

Date: November 8, 2013

On Wednesday, December 4, Sioux Falls Seminary is honored to bring to town Dr. Chris Armstrong, Professor of Church History at Bethel Seminary, to make two presentations on the theme of “Wesley, Work, and Wealth.”

The great revivalist John Wesley was well acquainted with the vocations of common people as well as the challenges of the emerging Industrial Revolution.  What he had to say about money, business, and vocation is surprisingly relevant to Christian living today.

Dr. Armstrong will first speak in Sioux Falls Seminary’s chapel (11:30 a.m. to noon).  Immediately afterward at a luncheon (noon to 1 p.m.) he will present a more in-depth look at John Wesley’s understanding of money and its use.  Both events are open to the public; the luncheon meal is provided free of charge for the first 50 RSVPs.  Please make your reservation by emailing nhitchcock@sfseminary.edu.
