US NAVY CHAPLAIN

Description

Ever thought of serving those who serve? The US Navy is looking for exceptional clergy for the Chaplain Corps. Women and men in the US Navy Chaplain Corps provide four basic services: •Providing professional religious ministry according to the tenets of their faith through worship services, religious education, weddings, funerals, and numerous other religious rituals and rites. •Facilitating for the religious needs of our people from other religious traditions by identifying their religious needs and coordinating support from other chaplains, civilian clergy, and lay leaders. •Caring for all service members and their families with dignity, respect, and compassion, regardless of an individual’s beliefs, and making informed and professional referrals. •Advising commanding officers on the accommodation of religious needs; on the moral, ethical, and spiritual well-being of our people; and on religious matters that affect the command’s mission. Requirements: A 72 credit hour Master’s Degree, 2 years full time ministry experience, and an ecclesiastical endorsement. The age restrictions have changed recently, so call me for details. Navy Chaplains also support the Sea Services (Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard) by inspiring hope, building resiliency, providing casualty support, assisting in suicide and sexual assault prevention, and providing humanitarian assistance. Sound interesting? Then we should talk. Lieutenant Commander Dayton Nelson, Chaplain Recruiter. 612-430-5560
