Seminary Receives Grant for Summit House
December 14, 2010
Grant Received will Help Summit House Serve Better
Sioux Falls Seminary has been awarded a grant from the C.J. and Alene Delbridge Family Endowment administered through the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation. Funds are awarded to efforts that lift up economically and socially disadvantaged people and help them overcome their obstacles. SFS will use the grant to support these Summit House initiatives:
Tool Lending Library--for purchase of tools that are not donated to The Carpenter's Gift Tool Lending Library that is currently under development
Harvest Festival--to assist with expenses incurred in hosting the annual Harvest Festival
Hospitality Funds--to extend hospitality, including a neighborhood meal, to area residents
The seminary is encouraged by the support of Summit House's mission from the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation and other community partners.
