Scholarship Banquet Unites Students, Trustees, and Supporters

May 7, 2007

For each student at North American Baptist Seminary, answering God's call is part of the journey for him or her. Each has learned that following God's will often sends them on the road less traveled - increasing their dependence on God's great provision.

On March 16, 2007, at the second annual Scholarship Banquet, members of the seminary community gathered to celebrate God's direction and action in the lives of the students at North American Baptist Seminary. The event began with a social time that enabled seminary supporters and trustees to connect with students.

Master of Divinity student Robert Holtrop opened the evening with prayer, which was followed by testimonies from Master of Divinity students Stacia Michael, Mark Donaldson (and his wife, Kati), and Amanda Potter. P.J. Tangedahl and Rebecca Hjelle, also Master of Divinity students, shared their appreciation for the seminary through special music and prayer, respectively.

"The scholarship banquet is a special event in the life of the seminary," said Benjamin Lee, Executive Director of the Leadership Foundation at North American Baptist Seminary. "It really is a blessing to see donors and recipients connect with each other in a personal way."
