Reflecting on our Calls: SFS to Host Seminar for Women in Ministry

Sioux Falls Seminary is hosting a free seminar for all women, especially those in leadership within churches or ministry-related fields. Reflecting on our Call will take place on Friday, April 24, 2009, from 8:30 a.m.-Noon at Sioux Falls Seminary (24th and Euclid Avenue).

Seminar sessions include Revisiting our Callings, Responses to Revisiting our Callings, Spiritual Rest in the Call, and breakout sessions--The Call: Composing a Life Story, Celebrations and Challenges of the Call, and Called to Take the Church Outside its Doors.

Among the presenters are the Rev. Dr. Val Putnam, pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Marcia Sietstra, a United Church of Christ pastor, Christa Weisser, SFS Master of Arts (Bible & Theology) student, Dr. Susan Reese, SFS Assistant Professor of Spiritual Formation and Vocation, Cecelia Dachtler, SFS Director of Student Life and Assessment and Instructor of Christian Ministry, and the Rev. Laura Borman, pastor at Wesley United Methodist Church.
