Life in the Business Office

Life in the Business Office

August 10, 2007

Greetings!

Life in the business office is always full of variety.  We serve students, handle financial transactions, operate a psychological services center, and run an 83 unit housing operation.  Needless to say, God has given our staff a great many spiritual gifts, for which we are thankful for!

With all of the variety we have, I have to admit there is one thing missing from it all, and I am glad in it.  We no longer have the heavy burden of bank debts weighing in on our every decision.  Rather, we have enjoyed the reverse.  The property sale transaction replenished our endowment funds, and those funds have experienced great gains in the past year.  I think it is safe to say the difference between earning all those gains and paying all that interest adds up to more than all the tuition we received last year!

Adding to the cheer, Sioux Falls Psychological Services, which gives a professional setting to our students in which to learn, experienced a record month in July!  It is difficult to say exactly how all the people decide to use our service, but it is wonderful so many are coming into the seminary environment looking for help in their personal and family life.  We are fortunate to be able to serve in this way.

Thanks for visiting!  May God bless you!
