Hiller Lectureship: Promoting Christ-like Love and Forgiveness in Family Relationships

The 2007 Hiller Lectureship at North American Baptist Seminary will focus on "Promoting Christ-like Love and Forgiveness in Family Relationships." Dr. Frederick A. DiBlasio Ph.D., who is internationally known for his pioneering work in the clinical use of forgiveness, will be the guest speaker. The Hiller Lectureship will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, on the campus of North American Baptist Seminary, 1525 S. Grange Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The 2007 Hiller Lectureship is for anyone who would like to gain a new perspective on the topic of forgiveness. Attendees will learn how to define several specific steps in helping family members or themselves make forgiveness decisions and to recognize and address specific roadblocks to forgiveness, especially with difficult people.

DiBlasio and his work in the area of forgiveness have been featured on 20/20, Good Morning America, and other televised programs in addition to being highlighted in the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, and Psychology Today. He is currently a professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland.

The cost to attend the Hiller Lectureship is $25 per person and includes a complimentary lunch. The event is open to the public. However, pre-registration is required.
