Festival to Feature Alan Roxburgh, Missional Church

Dr. Alan Roxburgh, a leading expert on the missional church movement, will be the featured speaker for The Missional Church seminar sponsored by Sioux Falls Seminary and Central Baptist Church.

During the event, to be held on Monday, October 27, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at Sioux Falls Seminary, Roxburgh will speak about how communities of faith can become more mission-oriented and reach out to individuals in their neighborhoods and local communities. Attendees will learn how to recognize change, why change is difficult, how to start a missional approach, and gain resources and tools for moving forward.

Pre-registration is required for the seminar. The cost to attend is $20 per person and includes lunch. Make reservations by Oct. 20 by calling 605.336.6588 ext. 750 or emailing pasche@sfseminary.edu.

The Missional Church seminar is being held in conjunction with the Seminary's 2008 Missions Festival which runs October 26-30 and includes a Monday, October 27, Banquet with Roxburgh speaking on the present and future of churches, denominations, and schools in regard to the missional church. Tickets are required for the banquet and reservations can be made by calling 605.336.6588 ext. 750 or emailing pasche@sfseminary.edu. A freewill offering will be taken for the meal (with a suggested donation of $10 per person).
