Update from Board of Trustees Meeting

Update from Board of Trustees Meeting

March 22, 2007

NABS' Board of Trustees met March 16-17 to consider many things. The Board is a dedicated group of men and women who commit themselves to the ministries of the seminary. Here are some of the decisions they made:

    • The new building plans were approved with two stories and a basement. In the basement will be Sioux Falls Psychological Services and the Heritage Commission of the NAB Conference. Administrative offices, the

      Koinonia

Center, and the large foyer/lounge area are on the main level, and classrooms and faculty offices are on the second floor.

    • A relocation timeline was determined that was different than previously announced. We will wait a year and begin construction in March 2008 with a move coming in June 2009. Sanford Health will graciously allow us to stay another year in our current facilities.

    • 2008 Budget was approved with a 4% tuition increase, the ceiling for tuition rising to $13,000 from $12,000 or from $450/hour to $475/hour.

    • Tenure was granted to Dr. Philip Thompson and a promotion to full professor.

    • A new name for the school was approved with a May 18, 2007 date for unveiling. No, I'm sorry; I cannot reveal the name now. We are saving it for a larger event than the readership of this blog.

The weight of leadership is shared by all, but is most responsibly carried by the Board. As president I am thankful for the wisdom and insight in which they stand with me in leading our ministry. May the Lord bless each and every one!
