Continuing Education for a Lifetime of Service

Non-Degree Certificates

Non-Degree Certificate  programs offer enrichment and focus in a specific area of ministry at the non-graduate, non-accredited level. They are affordable and flexible and are designed to enhance personal and professional development. 

Non-Degree Certificate programs are not considered a substitute for graduate-level credit and are not recognized as graduate-level study nor are they transferrable to other institutions.  Rather, theys fill a unique need for some individuals seeking to deepen their personal or professional experience.  Currently offered are the Certificate in Christian Ministry and the Training in Spiritual Direction programs.
 

Auditing

All masters level courses at Sioux Falls Seminary are available for audit.  If you are interested in learning more about a particular subject or would like to get a taste of seminary life, we invite you to audit a class or two.  View our current and upcoming course offerings online or contact the enrollment team to learn more.  Anyone can audit a class for only $50 per credit hour!  A completed Information Form and one-time $10 application fee will be collected from the Registrar's Office when you enroll in the course of your choice.
 

Additional Opportunities

Hiller Lectureship

Each April, Sioux Falls Seminary holds its annual Hiller Lectureship.  The one-day conference brings outstanding Christian scholars and church leaders to campus to discuss vital and timely subjects.  Past speakers have included Dr. Dallas Willard, Dr. Richard Foster, recording artist Kyle Matthews, and Chap Clark.  To receive information on the Hiller Lectureship and other events at the seminary, please join our e-mail list or like our Facebook page.

Young Christian Leaders Event Series

The Young Christian Leaders Event Series at Sioux Falls Seminary provides opportunities for young Christian leaders in the Sioux Falls area to come together for networking and learning opportunities.  Several gatherings are held each year.  Stay tuned for additional information on upcoming events or join the Sioux Falls Seminary Young Christian Leaders Group on Facebook.

Women in Community Presentation Series

The Women in Community Presentation Series at Sioux Falls Seminary is committed to encouraging the valuable leadership of women in every aspect of life.  Women from the area are invited to attend an annual presentation and receive the opportunity to meet and dialogue with women of all ages and from all walks of life.  Presentation topics vary from event to event and always provide input that challenges and promotes growth for the participants.  If you would like to receive more information on the Women in Community Presentation Series, please e-mail info@sfseminary.edu.

Trips and Immersion Experiences

Sioux Falls Seminary offers immersion experiences and trips to students and others who are interested.  Experiences include an annual trip to the Rosebud Reservation near Mission, South Dakota, occasional trips to the Holy Land, inner-city immersion experiences, and more.
