No institution can thrive and continue to offer quality education without the generosity of faithful alumni and friends. This is certainly the case at Sioux Falls Seminary, where tuition makes up only 35% of the cost of educating a student.

That's why in the summer of 2000 the Leadership Foundation was begun. Its mission is simple: Funding the Future of Sioux Falls Seminary. The Foundation serves as the link between donor and student, helping to make sure that dollars given to the Seminary provide the most good for the approximately 200 students who receive their training at NABS.

Being called to ministry is an exciting venture, but one that does not come without expense. Through your gifts, you have the opportunity to play an integral part in the "equipping of servant leaders for the ministries of Christ in the church and in the world." The Leadership Foundation is here to make that possible.

Meet the Staff

Mr. Benjamin Lee, Executive Director
Ben came to Sioux Falls Seminary in January of 2003. He has several years of fund raising experience and is honored to head up the team of professionals that make up the Leadership Foundation.

Mr. Ben Engbrecht, Senior Director of Planned Giving
Ben is the senior staff member of the Leadership Foundation, having served at Sioux Falls Seminary for 27 years. He is well-known by the Seminary constituency and assists donors with their planned giving needs including wills, trusts, annuities, and life insurance.

Mrs. Carol Woltjer, Director of Current Gifts and Grants
Carol has been a part of the Foundation staff since 2002. She has a host of experience in non-profit business, and enjoys the community spirit of Sioux Falls Seminary. In addition to her work in coordinating the Ministry Impact Fund, Carol oversees the volunteers who serve faithfully at the Seminary.

Rev. Randy Tschetter, Director of Church Relations and Alumni
Randy joined our team in August of 2004.  He is working to strengthen our relationships with pastors and alumni.  As part of his duties, he spends many of his Sunday's preaching in churches across the US and Canada on behalf of Sioux Falls Seminary.

Mr. Nate Helling, Director of Special Gifts
Nate also joined our team in the summer of 2004.  He works to raise support for the Young Leaders Project at Sioux Falls Seminary as well as other special gifts.

Mrs. Erin Tressa, Administrative Assistant
Erin joined the Leadership Foundation staff in April 2006. She most recently served with Campus Crusade for Christ working with students at area colleges. With experience in fundraising and database management, Erin is a welcomed addition to the team.
