Studying among your friends is a given at Sioux Falls Seminary. You, too, will find a community that cares about you. A support network - provided by others who have made a similar commitment to God's call - is all around. Professors and staff who are involved in ministry themselves reinforce each student's spiritual pilgrimage. Relations with God, other students, and your family are valued. Students who are interested in leadership may wish to serve on the Sioux Falls Seminary student council. This group plays a part in curriculum changes, chapel preparation, library development, fireside chats, retreats, and other areas of seminary development. Students gather to shoot hoops, take a walk on a beautiful day, talk about their triumphs and despairs, and even hit a few golf balls. There's "up" time and "down" time, time to cultivate the relationships that sustain us. It isn't an easy decision to walk this walk and you need your friends around you as you work to comprehend a theory or complete an assignment. Through time-honored activities such as prayer, meditation, fasting, and journaling, you will come to appreciate and apply spirituality to living in a contemporary world.
