Most interested in people and going for coffee, Susan Reese enjoys volunteering, campfires, and water sports. She first came to understand her calling as a faithful response to God’s leading in her life. However, Susan later realized the context of her calling within higher education and in the areas of spiritual formation, vocation, mentoring and education.
Since that time, she has served in a variety of roles within higher education. Among these are Interim Dean of Spiritual Formation and Vocation at Northwestern College in Iowa, Associate Dean of Residential Life at Bethel College in Minnesota, Faculty Associate at Bethel Seminary also in Minnesota, Resident Director for Biola University in La Mirada, California, and Director of Admissions at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota.
After receiving a Master of Arts in Counseling from Sioux Falls Seminary in 1993 and occasionally teaching as an adjunct, Susan returned to the seminary in July 2007 to serve as the seminary’s newly created Assistant Professor of Spiritual Formation and Vocation. Her and her husband Randy, a former seminary employee, reside outside of Sioux Falls on a nearby lake with their young son, Liam.
