Looking back, Rhoda Carpenter can see the blending and the interweaving of the various experiences in her life that have brought her to where God has led her--teaching in the area of Old Testament and Hebrew Bible at Sioux Falls Seminary.
Whether she was waiting and trusting God for the next step in her life or experiencing an “ah-ha” moment at an open door to step into, one thing has remained the same--Rhoda’s passion for the Middle East and for the people living in that context. Today at Sioux Falls Seminary, her love of Hebrew Bible melds together with an ever increasing desire to convey this love of scripture and land to students preparing for ministry with hopes of revealing to them a God who will guide them to their own life journey and ministry.
Having completed all of her Master’s and Doctoral work at Sioux Falls Seminary, served as a board of trustees member, and even taught as an adjunct instructor for several years, Rhoda returned to the seminary in July 2007 to become the Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible.
