Most people see Paul Rainbow as a serious person, and he usually is. But, behind this classical music pianist and New Testament scholar lays an enthusiast of the canine breed Beagle. After finishing seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1980, Paul had plans to take a pastoral position in a church. However, events and other people led him back to school to prepare for service in an academic setting. And in 1988, upon completion of his studies at Oxford University in England, Paul accepted a teaching position at Sioux Falls Seminary as a Professor of New Testament. Today, Paul still holds his position at SFS. And as a distinguished and published Biblical scholar, Paul still earns the respect of students in the classroom. He has written and contributed to several books, journals, and other publications during his years at SFS. Among his biggest supporters and fellow beagle enthusiasts are his wife, Alison, a native of England; his son, Daniel; and his daughter, Esther.
